Simon has based his career between Australia, the UK, Ireland and Germany, releasing multiple albumsā and performing extensively prior to 2020.
Simon James Betts has performed for many years as Soul TraderĀ®. From 2022, Soul TraderĀ® is moving forward as an original only. Simon continues to perform a range of original/cover shows, as he has done previously in SA venues for many years, now under the title of “Simon of Soul Trader”.

Tech Specs
Simon of Soul Trader can provided:
- Full PA system, including 2 x 15″ 500W speakers, mixer, microphone and stands.
- MP3 Music from an iPad can be used in breaks
- XLR line inputs can also be connected to your in-house system if applicable.
- 2 LED Stage Lights if Required.Ā
If you can please provided:
- Power to the stage area.
- An area of around 3 metres x 2 metres (preferred minimum as a performance space.)
Hospitality Info
There are no set requirements, but if you can please provide drinking water for the performance.
Simon does not drink alcohol, however if soft drinks also are available it is much appreciated.
Simon does not eat Ā before or during a gig, however if a meal is offered at the end of a performance it gratefully accepted, but by no means expected.
